C Heart Carona Frost "Pendleton" is a 2017 Palomino Stallion. He has dark spots throughout his body which we call his "Chocolate chips". We purchased him as a weanling untouched. He somehow escaped out of his pen we had him in after only a few days being at home with us. He was suddenly running with our 3 riding geldings playing with them doing great! Over the winter months I was able to start touching him. In the spring, it was time for halter breaking. I didn't have to do any work with him! He just somehow knew how to lead, give to pressure, stop when I stop, etc. He had such a great mind on him we couldn't castrate him. He needed to pass this on to more offspring.
Fast forward to 2019 when he turned 2 years old. He was sent to "trainer" that didn't do anything with him except make him afraid of the round pen. I have worked with this problem and he began to trust me in the round pen again.
2019 is also his first breeding season! He was turned out with 2 mares with foals at side. Pendleton was a complete gentleman and loved to play with the babies!
2020 - We had his first 2 outside mares booked! He got sent off to Blake Segerholm for his first real 30 days of training. He came back having all the fancy buttons, I couldn't have been more thankful for finding Blake and so excited for Pen's future as being a riding horse. Blake said Pen never offered to buck and did everything he asked of him. He roped the dummy off of him, you can move his shoulders, hips and even side pass all with only 30 days of riding. He couldn't say anything bad about him and was super excited to train his offspring later on.
Pendleton is lightly started on the barrel pattern and will get going more in the summer of 2024.
He is also lightly started on the heading and heeling side and really taking to dragging calves to the fire at the local brandings.
This boy loves to work and loves to please you at whatever you want him to do. He will be going on trail rides next summer as well to Medora and hopefully Montana in the mountains.
